Hi Everyone! I want to thank everyone who hopped through our Bunny Hop this past weekend. We had SO much fun! For most of us, this was our first hop, and it was a HUGE success and confidence booster for us - we are so grateful for your kind comments & new followers!
Ok... Let's see who will be the new owner of the 9 new Stickles colors...
COMMENT # 27 IS THE WINNER! CONGRATULATIONS TIARA MOORE!

"Julie, these place cards are adorable! I love them...and I love how your mom still hides you an Easter basket every year! My baskets aren't hidden, but I still get one each year too and love the fact that we're never too old for certain traditions! Thanks for organizing this and can't wait to see everything! My favorite embellishment? I'd have to say flowers, ink, bling, and of course STICKLES!!"
Thanks Tiara! Please contact me jclawser@comcast.net with your shipping address, and I'll get your new candy out to you!
Thanks again everyone & stay posted... I'm sure this won't be a first for our group of talented ladies!

Welcome to the Bashful Bunny Blog Hop 4/16 - 4/17
WELCOME to the Bashful Bunny Blog Hop! This is a first for our group of ladies, so might I add 'Beginner' to the title as well :) You have arrived at the opening post of our blog hop, but if you started somewhere in the middle, then you have arrived here from Jana - Isn't she SO creative?
Our group started out back in February on the Cricut message boards doing a 'Secret Leprechaun' swap. We had so much fun, we didn't want it to end once St. Patrick's Day was over. We quickly threw names into a hat again, and produced the Bashful Bunny swap. We don't only shop for each other, but we also aim to inspire and support each other as friends. This is really a talented group of Ladies, and we have all become so close! We designed this Blog Hop to showcase our talents and hopefully inspire each person who hops through with us this weekend.
We were asked to create something with an Easter / Spring theme, and I chose Easter! Easter is a HUGE EVENT in my family! I am 37 years old, and I still go to my parents house for dinner every Easter Sunday, and they STILL hide an Easter basket for me! I think it's adorable :) My Mom always outdoes herself with her cooking - so yummy! She also goes to great lengths to make sure that the table is properly set and decorated beautifully (we usually have around 14 people).
I created place cards for my Mom's Easter dinner this year. My Mom will be thrilled that I'm helping her add a personal touch to her table, and people won't have to shuffle around wondering where to sit for the meal. To make each card base, I used Lacy Labels and welded the shadows together in my Gypsy. I then used the layer of each individual label to decorate the fronts of the cards. Here is a sampling of the place cards I created:
This is the place card for my daughter. The chick cut is from Simply Charmed. I used Bazzill Bling & My Minds Eye cardstock, and embellished with Distress Inks, Stickles and Rhinestones. I don't have nice handwriting, so I just used my label maker for the names. I need to find a better way to get names on these in the future!
This place card is for my husband. I learned that Easter is a very hard holiday to make 'manly'! For his card I used the chocolate bunny cut from Gypsy Wanderings, Bazzill Bling cardstock, stickles, Distress Ink, Black Pearls and 1 lonely googlie-eye :)
This card is mine! It's my least favorite - I feel like the yellow frame got lost on the background, so I need to re-think the colors next time. The bunny cut is from Create-a-Critter and again I embellished with Distress Ink, stickles, pearls and rhinestones.
I imagine the dinner settings looking something like this:
I hope this helps avoid seating confusion next weekend, and I hope everyone will take their card home with them as a small token from the day. I love personal touches for the Holidays!
CANDY ALERT - - CANDY ALERT - - CANDY ALERT -- CANDY ALERT
Now on to the fun stuff! I chose to give away one of my FAVORITE embellishments that you just can't have enough of - STICKLES!!! Ranger came out with 9 new colors recently, and I love them so much, I want you to have them too!
The new colors are: Lagoon, Tropical Tangerine, Glam Pink, Paprika, Mystic Green, True Blue, Firefly, Thistle & Midnight Blue
Here's all you need to do: 1.) Become a follower of THIS blog & 2.) Leave me a comment on THIS post (and any others if you are so inclined). Tell me - What is your favorite embellishment? Or, what did you create to make Easter extra-special this year? I will draw a random winner after the close of the hop Sunday night, and will contact you for your shipping information. Easy, right?
Ok, now HOP TO IT! We have a great lineup for you this weekend!

Just Peachy!
Today I'm sharing a card I made a while ago, but I never posted so here it is:
I think this would make a cute Thank You card. My favorite part about this one is the use of the Peachy Keen Stamps - Peachy Keen makes 'Face Stamps' that have become very popular - they bring anything to life and give them personality! My peach would be so plain without them... Now wouldn't this just brighten your day? I hope it just did :)
About this Card:
Paper - Girl's Nursery by DCWV
Peach - Cricut cut from "Preserves" at 2.5"
Tag - Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Labels 4'
Ribbon - Target
Primas - Got Milk Collection
Distress Ink - Spicy Marmalade & Tea Stain
Stickles - Orange & Lime Green
Peachy Keen Face Stamps
Sentiment - My Pink Stamper "Fruity Puns" collection

A Bridal Shower Card & Bazzill Bling!
Hi Again! Today I am sharing a quick card I made last night for a good friend's bridal shower this weekend:
It almost looks like it would be better for a baby shower (girl), but I know my friend will appreciate it :)
The thing that excites me the most about this card is that this is my first time using the Bazzill Bling cardstock, and I LOVE IT! I picked up some at Michael's a few weeks ago (the colors are gorgeous!), and used 2 shades of pink and the brown on this card. It cuts really clean in the Cricut, and is a nice sturdy weight.
About this card:
Umbrella - Cricut cut from Paisley at 3.5"
Distress Ink - Tea Dye & Tattered Rose
Rhinestones & Pearls - Self-Adhesive from Michaels
Patterned Cardstock - My Mind's Eye
Solid Cardstock - BAZZILL BLING!!!

A Girl on the Way!
I just found out this week that a co-worker of mine is expecting. She already knows that she is having a girl, so I made this card for her:
I guess 3 Birds on Parade is my favorite cartridge this week :) Seriously though, there is a bird for every occasion on there, and how can you not smile when you look at them? I mounted her on the card using pop-dots to give the card more dimension. I hope she likes it...
About this card:
Bazzill Basics Cardstock
Bird - Cricut Cut from 3 Birds on Parade (cut at 5")
Distress Inks: Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, Broken China
Stickles: Black Diamond, Yellow, Pink & Turquoise, Liquid Pearls (Bow)
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots
Casserole Recipe Cookbook Swap
Today I am sharing 2 layouts I did for a Casserole Recipe Swap I am currently in. I chose 2 of my favorite casserole recipes to design layouts for. The first one is Poppyseed Chicken:
These are 8x8 layouts, which I love - enough space to use plenty of elements, but not so much space that you're looking for ways to fill in 'holes'. Stores sell 8x8 albums, so these will make really cute cookbooks!
About this layout:
Bazzill Basics Cardstock - Base
Crate Paper - Polka Dot Layer
Font - Zooballoo
Chicken - Cricut cut from Country Life
Ribbon - Joann's
Stickles - Black Diamond
The next recipe I 'scrapped' was for Seashell Macaroni Casserole (Thanks Mom!):
It has a lot of Italian ingredients, so I tried to go with some earthy, Italian colors, without using the same colors from the other layout. I am happy with it, but admittedly it is not my most favorite. I hope I have inspired someone out there today!
About this Layout:
Bazzill Basics Cardstock - Base
Bazzill Basics - Parakeet - Layer
Ribbon - Joann's
EK Success Border Punch
White Gel Pen
Wine Bottle - Cricut Cut from Simply Charmed
Stickles - Glitz Sequins & Lime
Distress Ink - Walnut Stain
'Travelers' Recollections Stamp in VersaMark Black Ink on the Wine Bottle Label
Sorry these pictures aren't very clear. I promise I'll start using my real camera soon as opposed to my camera phone :)

YIKES - Has It Been 2 Months?
Yes, sadly it has. So much for getting a good start on my resolutions, but at least I remembered that I started this blog and remembered to come back and update it!
I wanted to share one of the cutest cards I think I ever made. I am in a swap on another board, and my swap partner likes "all things country". I wanted to make her a card that I knew she would like, and this is what I came up with:
I always hate parting with these little guys after they turn out so cute, but if it weren't for her inspiration he never would have been created! I'm finishing up a recipe swap too, so I'll be back in a day or two to share my layouts for those. Have a Great Day!
About this card:
Paper - DCWV Premium Stack - Denim
Cut - Cricut "3 Birds on Parade"
Rhinestones - Michael's
Inks - TH Distress - Broken China & Tea Stain
Stickles - Cinnamon
Hemp Cord
